The Atlanta Braves have traded OF Jason Heyward and reliever Jordan Walden to the St. Louis Cardinals for pitcher Shelby Miller and a minor leaguer, according to ESPN.
Heyward failed to live up to the lofty expectations the Braves held for him after his phenomenal rookie season that saw him make the All-Star team. This past season, he won his second Gold Glove and hit .271 with 11 home runs and 58 RBI's.
Miller went 10-9 with a 3.78 ERA for the Cardinals in 2014.
Apparently, this is just the first of several deals involving the Braves this offseason.
