Wolves 2-0 Aston Villa: Diogo Jota and Leo Bonatini send hosts top after dominant display against rivals

Wolves went top of the Championship with victory against midlands rivals Aston Villa.

The first half finished scoreless but the hosts dominated possession and created more chances.

Their superiority told in the second half as Diogo Jota scored the opening goal of the game after a twisting run on the edge of the box and powerful finish. Leo Bonatini came off the bench to score his fifth of the campaign, finishing off a counter-attack.
