A fund set up in memory of Ugo Ehiogu by his wife has received an extraordinary response and already surpassed 1,000 per cent of its original target.
Ehiogu collapsed at Tottenham's training centre, where he was Under 23 coach, last Thursday after suffering a heart attack and died aged 44 in hospital in the early hours of Friday morning.
Following Ugo Ehiogu's tragic death, Gemma Ehiogu set up the fund on JustGiving to help fund an equal opportunities charity giving youngsters access to football with a target of raising £1,000.
Within two days of the request going live donations have already been pledged that far surpass the original target, with £11,150 promised by Monday evening.
