Rudy Gestede is on Teeside to complete a £6million move to Middlesbrough.

The Aston Villa striker held advanced talks with club officials on Sunday and was due to undergo a medical ahead of completing a move this week.

The Benin striker is expected to be available for Boro’s FA Cup third round clash against Sheffield Wednesday next weekend and the African Cup of Nations is not an issue as his country didn't qualify.
