Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack is in talks over a loan move to Motherwell.
He has been on loan at Central Coast Mariners but is looking to cut that spell short and return to Scotland.
McCormack was spotted at New Douglas Park on Saturday as his former club Motherwell came from behind to beat rivals Hamilton.
The former Cardiff, Leeds and Fulham forward has been struggling with a knee injury and his Australian loan club are enduring the worst ever start in A-League history.
McCormack scored 14 goals in 57 appearances for Motherwell between 2006 and 2008 before moving into English football.
