After watching Chelsea spend £500million over the past year, most managers could be forgiven for casting envious glances towards Stamford Bridge. Thomas Frank isn’t one of them.
The Brentford boss was not in a good mood as his side threw away what would have been their first win in six games by allowing Douglas Luiz to score a late equaliser for Aston Villa, cancelling out Ivan Toney’s opener.
But as his mind turned to Wednesday night’s trip to their west London neighbours, Frank lived up to his name in offering an assessment of the troubles of a Chelsea team still five points behind the Bees.
