Middlesbrough sign Adama Traore on four-year contract from Aston Villa as Albert Adomah moves the other way

Middlesbrough have announced Adama Traore has joined the club on a four-year deal from Championship side Aston Villa.

Traore's move means Boro have now signed 11 players during the summer transfer window.

Traore was brought by Villa last summer for £7m from Barcelona but he frustrated the club's managers during his spell at the club, due to his tactical approach.

The 20-year-old failed to start a single Premier League match last season with Villa.

'He is another important player and I am expecting a lot from him,' Aitor Karanka told the club's website.
