Aston Villa signed five players during the mid-season transfer window but were only permitted to add three of them to their UEFA Champions League squad.
Unai Emery's side qualified directly for the round of 16 in Europe's top tournament by finishing eighth during the league phase.
Villa will therefore not be in European action again until early March when they will meet Club Brugge, Atalanta, Sporting Lisbon or Borussia Dortmund.
However, they still needed to confirm their updated squad list by Thursday night.
Marcus Rashford, Marco Asensio and Axel Disasi - who all joined Villa on loan earlier this month - made it in.
