Luton 3-1 Aston Villa: Calamitous own goal by Jores Okore condemns Roberto Di Matteo's men to embarrassing EFL Cup defeat

Luton Town came from behind to condemn Aston Villa to an embarrassing first round defeat in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

It all started well for Roberto Di Matteo's men when Jordan Ayew opened the scoring, but Luton got back level through former Crystal Palace youngster Jake Gray shortly after.

In the second half, Cameron McGeehan put the League Two side in front, before a disastrous own goal by Jores Okore sealed the result.
