Kevin De Bruyne's return makes Man City title favourites, Erik ten Hag's front three is FINALLY taking shape - and Burnley's survival hopes are looking bleak... THINGS WE LEARNED from the Premier League this weekend

Only half of England's top flight teams faced off this weekend due to the Premier League's winter break, but the five matches still managed to provide fans with lots of entertaining football.

Premier League champions Manchester City came from behind to triumph 3-2 over Newcastle United in injury time, Tottenham took part in an enthralling 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, and a six-pointer at the foot of the table saw Luton rescue a late 1-1 draw at Burnley.

Meanwhile, Cole Palmer's penalty helped Chelsea edge out a narrow 1-0 win over west London neighbours Fulham, and Aston Villa squandered the chance to go level on points with league leaders Liverpool, drawing 0-0 with Everton.
