Ipswich Town on Wednesday night agreed a £21million fee with Aston Villa for winger Jaden Philogene.
The 22-year old was also wanted by Everton but Ipswich have moved quickly to agree terms and Philogene has agreed to the move after speaking to Portman Road boss Kieran McKenna who also tried to sign him in the summer.
Philogene is due to have a medical on Thursday, calling time on his second stint at his boyhood club.
The player re-joined Villa just six months ago on a five-year deal from Hull, with Unai Emery's side pipping Ipswich to the post after the Tigers gave the club the right to match any bid tabled for him.
