Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane fears money may take priority over health in the bid to re-start the Premier League.
The world's most lucrative domestic competition has been suspended for seven weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic and there is still no official date for a resumption.
Villa are 19th in the table but could move out of the bottom three if they win their game in hand. The Ireland international's words suggest there is scepticism among players about getting the show back on the road.
Hourihane said: 'It would kind of sound and seem that money is getting talked about more than the health and safety of players and staff and all the rest of it.
