Mike Phelan is finally set to be confirmed as permanent manager of Hull City - but is expected to lose all of his coaching staff on the same day.
The 54-year-old took temporary charge of the Tigers on July 22 following Steve Bruce’s resignation.
Bruce has been appointed as the new manager of Aston Villa this week and has made contact with his old club in a bid to take assistant boss Stephen Clemence, goalkeeping coach Gary Walsh and fitness coach Will Royall with him to the West Midlands.
That will leave Phelan with the task of assembling a whole new backroom team.
