Henri Lansbury has completed his £3million move to Aston Villa but Steve Bruce appears to have conceded defeat on a pursuit of Jordan Rhodes.
Bruce finally sealed a deal for Lansbury, the Nottingham Forest captain, after the club's continued ownership under Fawaz Al-Hasawi was confirmed and the 26-year-old trained with his new team-mates on Friday morning.
Lansbury said: 'As soon as I knew Aston Villa were interested, I wanted to come here.

'It's the size and reputation of the football club that attracted me.
