Stan Collymore has sympathised with Jack Grealish after the Aston Villa captain flouted government guidelines by attending a late night party on Saturday.
Grealish issued an apology on social media on Monday after he allegedly crashed his £70,000 Range Rover into parked cars in in the Dickens Heath area of Solihull. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
The 24-year-old made no mention of any car crash in his apology video on Twitter, but confessed to feeling 'deeply embarrassed' after 'stupidly' agreeing to attend the house party.

Now Collymore, who represented Villa between 1997 and 2000, has denounced Grealish's actions but understands his desire to party during the unexpected break in the season.
