Former England manager Graham Taylor has died aged 72, a spokesman for the family has said.
Taylor began his managerial career at Lincoln City, coaching them between 1972 and 1977, and also managed Watford, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It was at Watford, under the chairmanship of pop star Elton John, that Taylor made his name as he guided them from the fourth division of English football to the top flight in five years.
He took them to the FA Cup final in 1984 in a decade-long spell between 1977 and 1987 and had a second spell at the Hornets, leading them into the Premier League in 1999 after back-to-back promotions.
