German wonderkid Philipp Wunn has revealed that he snubbed interest from Aston Villa to keep his grandparents happy.
Villa were one of many clubs interested in signing the 18-year-old, who has been impressing for German minnows FC Saarbrucken.
Borussia Dortmund and Schalke were both interested in taking him to the Bundesliga, while it was reported that Villa wanted to lure the teenager to England during the January window.
However he decided against leaving the German fourth tier club and he has now opened up on his decision to turn down strong interest from a number of big teams.
