Everton's second game of the Premier League marked a second consecutive loss and a double injury blow to make matters worse.
Speaking after Sunday's 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa, boss Sean Dyche said striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin had managed to avoid concussion after a injury to the face, though he will be assessed.
The striker was substituted off in the 38th minute after colliding with World Cup winning goalkeeper, Emi Martinez.
Consequently, Calvert-Lewin suffered a swollen cheekbone and was forced off, with Dutch star Arnaut Danjuma coming off the bench as a replacement.
