An England international will have a role on the board of directors for Euro 2028, combining his Premier League football duties with organising the tournament, according to a report.
Euro 2028 will be played in England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland, with the British Isles nations running unopposed in their bid to host the tournament after Turkey withdrew from contention in 2023.
Instead, Turkey will focus on a joint bid with Italy to host Euro 2032. It was also confirmed that Northern Ireland will not host any games at Euro 2028 as originally planned, nor would it be eligible for automatic qualification.
