David O’Leary has not managed in English football for a decade – but says he would jump at the chance to get in back into the game if given a chance.
Since leaving Aston Villa in 2006 O’Leary seemed to disappear from the football landscape and it has led to some of the game’s biggest names asking where he had gone.
But for a brief spell managing out in the United Arab Emirates O’Leary has been out of football on the front line.
As a player he accumulated more appearances for Arsenal than any other one else in the club’s history – 722 games – and as a result has been working for the club as an ambassador for the past two years.
