Christopher Samba is training with Championship strugglers Aston Villa.
The 32-year-old former Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers defender is a free agent following his release from Panathinaikos.
The Congo international recently had a trial spell with Crystal Palace but failed to earn a contract at Selhurst Park.

Samba played under Eagles boss Allardyce for two seasons at Blackburn but has lived something of a nomadic career since leaving the club in 2012.
