Adam Le Fondre scored the only goal of the game in the first half as Bolton Wanderers boosted their hopes of Championship survival with a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.
In snowy conditions, Villa were unable to break down the Bolton defence, with Jon Flanagan clearing off the line from Scott Hogan, but Steve Bruce's side still remain in fourth place as they seek to secure a spot in the play-offs.
Bolton, meanwhile, are up to 19th, nine points clear of the relegation zone.
