Stockport County boss Dave Challinor has said on-loan forward Louie Barry's future at the club is "out of their control" with speculation mounting over whether parent club Aston Villa will recall him in January.
Barry joined Stockport on a season-long loan from the Premier League side in August but it has been reported he will be withdrawn in order to join a club at a higher level, while he has also been linked with a loan move to Leeds United.
The 21-year-old was named League One's player of the month on Friday and has scored 15 goals in 20 games this season as well as scoring nine goals in 23 appearances during a separate loan spell in 2023-24, helping the Hatters win the League Two title.
