Marseille target Jordan Amavi is not expected to leave Aston Villa in the current transfer window and will instead assess his options in the summer.
The Ligue 1 outfit prioritised the signature of the 22-year-old defender for the winter window and held a series of talks with the player's representatives to discuss a transfer.
Marseille even reportedly made a contract offer to the player and were convinced of signing him from Aston Villa, but it has been claimed that Amavi will finish the season in England.
According to L'Equipe, Amavi has decided against leaving Villa in the middle of the season and is keen to continue at the Championship club at least until the end of the campaign.
