Championship side Aston Villa have signed West Brom defender James Chester, owner Tony Xia has confirmed on Twitter.
Chester joined West Brom from Hull for a £8m fee in July 2015, with Villa believed to have paid more than that.
He made 19 appearances for the Baggies last season, but started in only nine Premier League matches.
The 27-year-old featured in every game for Wales as they reached the Euro 2016 semi-finals in France.
Chester made his international debut in a 2-0 defeat by the Netherlands in June 2014, and has now won 17 senior caps.
