Aston Villa have reignited interest in Brighton's Yves Bissouma with the key being his valuation.
Villa had a bid of around £25million rejected earlier in the window and want a defensive midfielder after pulling out of a move for Juventus' Rodrigo Bentancur last Thursday without making a formal offer for the Uruguay international.
Bissouma is back from international duty with Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations and is open to making the move.
Brighton want £50m for the 25-year-old who has 18 months left on contract and Villa know that valuation will have to come down in the summer.
