Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has called on the Football Association to take action after video emerged of Paul Robinson appearing to kick and throw a punch at James Chester during the Second City derby.
The FA are aware of the incident immediately after Gabby Agbonlahor scored the only goal of the game but want to study all footage before deciding if Robinson’ s actions merit a violent conduct charge.
Chester fell to the floor as he ran to celebrate Agbonlahor’s goal, tripped by the Birmingham captain, who also looked to have aimed a kick with his other leg, and thrown his fist in the manner of a punch.
