Aston Villa have opened discussions with Sevilla over centre-back Loic Bade.
The club's president of football oeprations, Monchi, went to watch Bade on Saturday as Sevilla drew 1-1 with Valencia.
Bade, 24, has become an important figure for Sevilla and has been called up to the French national team this season, though Didier Deschamps is yet to hand him a cap. He was part of the team that came runners-up in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
However, his previous stint in the Premier League left much to be desired.
