Aston Villa reached the FA Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 2015 after knocking out Cardiff City on Friday night.
Villa bossed the opening 45 minutes but were unable to find a way past Ethan Horvath in the Cardiff goal.
But the breakthrough eventually arrived in the 68th minute when Marcus Rashford set up fellow loanee Marco Asensio to score his third goal for his new club.
Rashford and Asensio had combined in a similar manner in Villa's previous home game, when the English forward provided two assists for the former Real Madrid star in a 2-1 win over Chelsea.
