'22 years of failure': Everton fans tell chairman Bill Kenwright to leave in banner flown over Goodison Park before Aston Villa clash as they show their disgust at the state of the club

Rafael Benitez may have gone, but Everton fans' fury at Bill Kenwright shows no sign of dissipating.

Supporters made their feelings about the club's chairman clear prior to the game against Aston Villa, with a plane trailing a banner with a message reading '22 YEARS OF FAILURE BILL @ TIME2GOBILL' flying above Goodison Park just before kick off.

Kenwright, a former Coronation Street actor, has been on the Everton board since 1989 and bought a 68 percent stake in the club in 1999.

In the 22 years since, however, the closest Everton have come to winning a first trophy since 1995 was losing the 2009 FA Cup to Chelsea.
