Beth Mead and Kim Little were both on target as we won the Toulouse International Ladies Cup with a 2-2 draw against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
WHAT HAPPENED
The French side started well on home soil, forcing Sari van Veenendaal into a good stop inside three minutes before our No 1 held onto Annissa Lahmari’s free-kick.
Despite PSG’s fast start, though, we drew first blood. Mead found a yard of space and rifled an unstoppable effort into the net to give us the lead.
The French side were immediately back on the front foot and should have equalised through Ashley Lawrence, but the Canada forward poked her effort well off target.
