Andy Cole has revealed that Manchester United icon Roy Keane once briefly acted as peacemaker amid a tunnel bust up with Red Devils team-mate Teddy Sheringham.
The Irishman's feisty personality has left him with a reputation as a man rarely willing to back down, with his confrontational attitude translating well from pitch to TV screen as a pundit.
Keane has endured his fair share of bust ups in the past, most famously with Arsenal legend Patrick Viera, as well as his own team-mates on occasion, such as Peter Schmeichel.

But Cole has lifted the lid on an episode in which Keane sought to defuse a row between the strike partnership, who have not seen eye to eye for 30 years, before being in the thick of it.
