Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp appeared to have suggested that Xherdan Shaqiri's absence from his Carabao Cup side was due to the wingers ongoing transfer negations.
Shaqiri was nowhere to be seen for Liverpool as they lost 4-3 to Arsenal on penalties after a goalless 90 minutes at Anfield, but Klopp was reluctant to say whether the Switzerland international would be leaving before the end of the transfer window.
