West Ham are continuing discussions over a deal for Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos after his medical showed up an issue.
The former Arsenal centre-back has been edging closer to confirming an £18million move to the London Stadium after the Hammers ramped up their interest in the player last week.
Mavropanos was not included in Stuttgart's squad to face Bochum on Saturday ahead of his planned medical, with West Ham keen to prioritise the transfer after their £30m move for Harry Maguire collapsed last week.
The 19-cap Greece international was tracked closely by Nottingham Forest in July, and previously received interest from Wolves, with his sights set on a return to the Premier League after leaving Arsenal last summer.
