Lisa Evans is still in disbelief.
The winger helped Scotland automatically qualify for their very first Women’s World Cup against the odds with two assists against Switzerland, and is hoping she can carry her international form into Sunday’s Women’s Super League opener against Liverpool.
“I don’t think it’s still fully sunk in to be honest,” she told Arsenal.com. “It’s just absolutely incredible. I just remember that feeling, seeing all the girls running on to the pitch and thinking, ‘We’ve done it, we’ve done it’. I was just overcome with emotion, cried for a little bit, laughed, joked, screamed.
