We bowed out of the FA Youth Cup at the quarter-final stage on Friday evening, falling to a narrow 3-2 defeat against Manchester United after extra time.
After a tight first half, Louis Copley produced a brilliant chip to equalise for Adam Birchall’s side following Jack Fletcher’s opener for United.
Max Dowman then won and converted a penalty ten minutes into the second half, putting us ahead, but a late Jaydan Kamason goal forced extra time.
We started extra time the stronger of the two sides, but Bendito Mantato’s counter-attacking strike proved decisive, sealing the win for the Red Devils.
