It was a north London Derby to forget for Arsenal as they were beaten 1-0 by a dominant Tottenham at Wembley Stadium.
Fans were hopeful of another derby win with the team buoyed by new signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and following last week’s 5-1 demolishing of Everton.
But the team lacked hunger and desire, while their star men flopped, as a superior Spurs claimed a deserved win.
Harry Kane's second-half header won the game for Tottenham but they should have had more, with only a series of superb saves from goalkeeper Petr Cech keeping the scoreline low.
