Japan have reached the knockout stages of the Asian Cup with a 3-1 win against Indonesia.
Takehiro Tomiyasu played 82 minutes of the match for Japan, who took the lead through a sixth minute Ayase Ueda penalty.
Ueda got his brace early in the second half before a Justin Hubner own goal late on gave Japan a more comfortable lead.
Sandy Walsh grabbed a consolation for Indonesia in the 91st minute.
Deserved winners with 14 shots to Indonesia’s three, Japan finished second in Group D, three points behind the unbeaten Iraq.
In the round of 16, Japan will face the winner of Group E which could be Jordan, South Korea or Bahrain.
