Arsenal defender William Saliba has revealed he was 'hurt' by Mikel Arteta's decision to overlook him this season.
The Gunners announced in the summer of 2019 that the Frenchman had signed a long-term contract with the club, and that he would join them after staying at Saint-Etienne for the 2019-20 season.
However, the £27million signing failed to make a single appearance for Arsenal during the first half of the campaign and was sent out on loan to Nice in the January transfer window.
Saliba was signed by former Arsenal manager Unai Emery, but the Frenchman has failed to convince the current Gunners boss that he is ready for the first team.
