Thomas Tuchel has admitted that he feels 'sorry' for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and that he will contact his former striker after the Gabonese was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy this week.
Arsenal confirmed the £350,000-a-week striker had been relieved of the armband following his 'latest' disciplinary breach last week, which saw him return back late from France after collecting his sick mother.
Aubameyang has not been involved in the Gunners' wins over Southampton and West Ham since the incident, with Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette skippering the North Londoners instead.
And Chelsea boss Tuchel, who worked with Aubameyang during his time at Borussia Dortmund, said he will speak with the Gabonese 'at some point' and that he 'feels sorry' for the 32-year-old.
