Arsenal's outspoken shareholder Alisher Usmanov was in the news again this week, as he denied thinking about selling his 30 per cent stake in the north London club.
The Russian billionaire is not someone who is afraid to speak out. In 2012 after Robin van Persie's move to Manchester United, Usmanov insisted it was a 'mistake' to let the striker leave and said Arsene Wenger lacked support.
Usmanov may not want to jump ship but the 62-year-old who seems to shoot from the hip wants to spend. Trouble is, since their move to the Emirates Stadium in 2006, Arsenal haven't.
