Jonas Eidevall has made three changes to the side that began Wednesday’s UEFA Women’s Champions League tie at BK Hacken for today’s Barclays Women’s Super League opener against Manchester City.
Frida Maanum, Caitlin Foord and Stina Blackstenius all come into the starting lineup, replacing Beth Mead, Rosa Kafaji and Alessia Russo. Mariona Caldentey makes her WSL debut.
Leah Williamson came on as a substitute in midweek but is unavailable for the squad today due to concussion protocol.
Stina was the star of the show in our last meeting with Man City, coming off the bench in the 62nd minute of May’s encounter before scoring in the 89th and 92nd minutes to give us a 2-1 win away from home.
