Alessia Russo will play her first Women’s Super League game as an Arsenal player this afternoon as Jonas Eidevall named his starting XI to play Liverpool.
The 24-year-old is already off the mark for the club with two goals in UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying and will be looking to transfer that form to the league.
Canadian forward Cloe Lacasse also starts on the right wing, earning her WSL debut. Lacasse has started all three games since joining from Benfica this summer.
Fellow new arrivals Amanda Ilestedt, Laia Codina and Kyra Cooney-Cross have all been named in the matchday squad as substitutes.
