Sunderland have struggled throughout this Premier League season, and it is clear where the main problem for the Black Cats lies - scoring goals.
They are the second lowest scorers in the Premier League this season, their paltry total of 15 would be the worst if not for bottom club Hull City netting just 14.
More than that, however, is the problem of who is scoring those goals. So far this league season, only three Sunderland players - Jermain Defoe, Victor Anichebe, and Patrick van Aanholt - have scored a goal.

Unsurprisingly, this is the lowest number of players to have scored for a Premier League team at this point in a season.
