Arsenal endured another miserable away day in Staffordshire as Stoke won 1-0 at the bet365 Stadium thanks to a goal on his debut from new signing Jese Rodriguez.

Jese swept home a pass from substitute Saido Berahino to hand Stoke the lead just 80 seconds after the interval - his first goal since joining from Paris Saint-Germain on loan.

Arsenal piled the pressure on in the second half but couldn't make the breakthrough - Danny Welbeck was guilty of missing a number of chances while Alexandre Lacazette saw an effort ruled out for offside.
