Erling Haaland's spot-kick secured City a 1-0 victory over the Eagles to ensure Pep Guardiola's men kept pace with leaders Arsenal.
The Brazilian keeper kept a clean sheet, however he was seen wearing Palace's away socks.
The 29-year-old was forced to wear the white socks to prevent City's goalkeeper kit, which includes blue socks, from clashing with Palace's home socks.
City's stopper also taped over the blue Macron sponsorship logo that is usually on the front.
