Sandro Tonali pictured for the first time in attendance at St. James' Park for game against Arsenal after receiving 10-month ban for betting offences

Sandro Tonali was pictured in the stands at St. James' Park for the first time since he received his 10-month ban.

The Italian midfielder was banned from competitive football last week after admitting to illegal gambling offences, and will receive treatment for a 'gambling addiction' as part of the measures.

Despite still be able to train with Newcastle, Tonali cannot be selected for competitive matches and was forced to watch from the stands as Newcastle hosted Arsenal.

Newcastle sporting director Dan Ashworth revealed his 'massive shock' at Tonali's betting breaches saga and confirmed the club are internally investigating the transfer.
