Roy Hodgson confident Crystal Palace are ready for life after Wilfried Zaha

As Wilfried Zaha trudged off the pitch holding his leg, one had to ponder whether Selhurst Park had witnessed the last dance of its favourite son.

Certainly for this season — it will be nigh on impossible for the forward to recover from a hamstring injury within two weeks — but possibly for the club as well.

The 30-year-old is set to become a free agent this summer, and has recently been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea.

If he were to leave Crystal Palace, a club that have often been reliant on the winger during his 13 seasons, the ‘R’ word could creep up.
