Rio Ferdinand's labels Arsenal's January acquisition of Leandro Trossard as a 'MASTERSTROKE' and insists the Belgian has had a 'massive impact' at the Premier League leaders

Rio Ferdinand has labelled Arsenal's Leandro Trossard as a 'masterstroke signing' after becoming the first player ever to record a hattrick of assists in the first-half in the Gunner's 3-0 rout over Fulham on Sunday.

Trossard assisted Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard, as Arsenal strengthened their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The Belgian winger joined Mikel Arteta's side in the January transfer window from Brighton after the club missed out on securing Mykhailo Mudryk who joined Chelsea instead.

Former Man United defender Ferdinand, hailed the impact that Trossard has had at the club since making his £27m move from the south coast, telling his Youtube show, Vibe with Five: 'Trossard, I think, has been a masterstroke signing.
