Carlo Ancelotti has been approached to become to new Italy national team manager, according to reports.
The former Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain boss has been linked with a return to the Premier League with Arsenal, who are on the hunt for Arsene Wenger’s successor.
Wenger has confirmed he will leave the Gunners at the end of the season after 22 years in charge, and Ancelotti is said to be one of the leading candidates to replace the Frenchman.
However, according to Sky Italy, the experienced coach has now been offered the role of manager of the Italy national team.
